What are your age requirements for entry to the school?

3 years old by October 1st and potty trained by the first day for PreK 3; 4 years old by October 2nd for PreK 4 and 5 years old by October 1st for Kindergarten

Is extended care offered before and after school?

Yes. The Aftercare program at Saint Pius X School begins at 1:15pm for our Pre-K students and 2:40pm for all other students. Aftercare ends at 6:00pm daily and will be staffed by experienced and qualified childcare staff. All of our staff must have a criminal background check before they can begin working.

Please contact the school if your child needs to be dropped off before 7:30am.

How long is the school day?
  • Pre-K3
    Monday, Wednesday and Friday or 5 days a week 8:15am - 2:30pm
  • Pre-K4 
    Monday through Friday 8:15am - 2:30pm
  • Grades K-8
    Monday through Friday 8.00am - 2:40pm
What is the dress code?

Grades K-8 are required to wear the school-approved uniform.

Are the teachers at SPX certified?

Yes.  Each teacher is required to have the appropriate certification for the subject level they teach.

Does the school provide lunch?

Yes.  We have a hot lunch program that is offered on a daily basis.

Do you accept mid-year transfers?

Yes.  Appropriate documentation from transferring school is required.

Where do students go after graduating from Saint Pius X School?

An example of some high schools SPX graduates are accepted to are Delbarton, Villa Walsh, Don Bosco, Seton Hall, Morris Catholic, DePaul, Academy of Holy Angels, Oak Knoll, Montville High School, Bergen Catholic, Academy of Saint Elizabeth. Some colleges are Stanford University, Bucknell University, Notre Dame, Tulane, University of Delaware, Penn State, Boston University and many more.
